BAKED IN TRADITION
CLIENT: Magnolia Network
ROLE: Directed & Produced Season 1 of Baked in Tradition, a travelogue style food show that follows baker Bryan Ford as he explores the cross cultural commonality in the food we all eat.
Developed all creative across 6, 30-minute episodes. Booked guests & locations that shaped each episode, supervising a Producer and AP across editorial preproduction. Worked with Culinary Producer to prep locations in order to showcase a minimum of 3 cooking demos per episode. Worked with Director of Photography to establish look for the show.
Directed 2 camera shoots in restaurant locations all around NYC area, averaging 2 locations each shoot day for 15 shoot days across full season with a 15 person crew. And did this all on set at 7 months pregnant!
Worked both on set in person during COVID adhering to COVID protocols as well as remotely through post production.
ABOUT: Baker Bryan Ford travels to different food establishments in New York City eating the best breads and pastries he can find and learning how to make them. He shines a light on how similar treats have completely different origins and traditions and inspires the audience to get in the kitchen and make something new.
